The accident involving Dany Heatley's Ferrari (anyone see the car cut in two?) reminds me of Pelle Lindbergh dying in a car accident back in the mid-80's. He was an all-star goalie for the Flyers. Mike Keenan was the coach and he admitted a few years ago that his first thought when he heard about the accident was "shit, there goes the Cup".

Steve Chiasson died two years ago driving home after a team party with the Hurricanes. I wonder if hockey players are greater risk-takers than the general public. I read a study about how Australians are the biggest "risk takers" in the world. That's part of the reason gambling is so popular there.
